**Job Overview**
Pastry Cooks are responsible for preparing quality pastry items such as sandwich items, breads, muffins, cookies, roll cakes, cookie choux, and special request items.
**Job responsibilities**
- Operate and manage the pastry section of the kitchen and liaise with the General Manager to ensure a successful working environment.
- Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides, according to departmental standards.
- Establish priority items for the day.
- Executing pastry orders for catered events and accommodating special requests.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely.
- Inspect the cleanliness and working conditions of all tools, equipment and supplies.
- Monitor food temperatures. Report any discrepancies.
- Maintain inventory, stock levels, supplies, and equipment.
- Comply and action all health, food safety and hygiene standards and policies
- Other duties may be assigned.
**Qualifications**
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Positive attitude and excellent customer-oriented approach.
- Team player - assist in a positive guest experience however necessary.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $17.20 per hour
