Under the general direction of the Energy Markets Strategies Section Head, will engage internal and external stakeholders to lead
the development, evaluation and management of strategies, activities and pilots associated with expected growing adoption of
Electric Vehicles (EVs) within Manitoba including the need for additional charging infrastructure. Responsible for creating and
collaborating with a cross enterprise team to develop, maintain, coordinate and track EV strategies and initiatives. Will develop and
enhance relationships with EV internal and external stakeholders and stay informed on developments in the EV industry. These
strategies will be in-line with the Provincial Energy Strategy, support provincial economic development and align with the enterprise's
Integrated Resource Plan and Strategy 2040.

**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Lead an enterprise-wide cross functional team to develop and maintain strategies supporting EV adoption within Manitoba.

This includes developing processes, teams and a governance structure that will help define the current state of the EV
landscape in Manitoba, identify strategic infrastructure initiatives and products needed by MH customer's various charging
needs (home, public, commercial, government, fleet) and determine an implementation plan to help support the execution and
coordination of the strategies.
- Identify, evaluate and prioritize EV initiatives, including pilots, and ensure collaboration, documentation, and coordination

across the enterprise.
- Conduct financial analysis, including the identification and analysis of risks, for EV strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the Integrated Resource Planning, Rates & Regulatory and Sales/Mktg & Product Development

divisions to better understand the impact EVs will have on Manitoba Hydro's energy system and investigate policy and rate
opportunities that could help manage the impact.
- Collaborate closely with the EM Strategies Officer to determine if EV strategies can help with demand response initiatives.
- Lead the negotiation of contracts, as required, related to EV strategies.
- Investigate and assess various forms of external funding opportunities for EVs to keep rates low for our customers.
- Ensure the structure and tools in support of the energy market strategies are created, documented and accessible for use by
- other internal and/or external stakeholders.- Investigate whether engagement of external EV experts could help Manitoba Hydro streamline EV strategy development.
- Provide recommendations and presentations to senior management and executives. Create and deliver presentations to
- internal and external stakeholders.- Project manages the development of the EV strategies including troubleshooting/ solving issues, creating and managing

project schedules, tracking project progress, and providing updates for department, division, business unit and corporate
reporting.
- Keep abreast of the evolving EV landscape and represent MH at tradeshows, conferences, and industry groups. Engage and

develop relationships with external stakeholders, including provincial and municipal governments, to understand customer EV
infrastructure needs and evolving EV infrastructure requirements.

**_ Qualifications:_**
- Completion of a four-year bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or other relevant discipline from an institute of

recognized standing with a minimum of seven years of experience leading strategy development.
OR
- An equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- Broad understanding of energy markets, electric vehicles and associated infrastructure and Manitoba Hydro's operations,
- planning and regulatory environments.- Demonstrated understanding of operational and business processes that connect the organization.
- A high degree of integrity, initiative, creativity and judgment, with proven ability to work independently under broad guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- throughout the enterprise.
