Three vacancies exist for Power & Recovery Labourers (VTR’s). This is a shift worker position. This is a bargaining unit position, open to all PPWC members. The hourly rate of pay will be per the latest PPWC Labour Agreement.

This is a physically demanding position and requires the incumbent to work in hot conditions and around high-pressure steam, water, natural gas, fuel oil, wood residuals, wood ash and other chemical irritants. Climbing stairs & ladders frequently, opening & closing valves, shovelling, sweeping, and hosing down equipment.

Duties will include but are not restricted to:

- Training for and performing the duties of a Power Boiler Fireperson
- Providing support in other areas of the Utilities Department, as required
- Clean-up and Maintenance Helper
