**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable female support worker to assist a 33-year-old woman with Aicardi Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. She lives with her family in Burnaby. This is a live-in position from Friday to Monday, offering you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping her maintain an active and fulfilling lifestyle.

**What You’ll Do**:
You will support her in all aspects of daily life, including:

- Assisting with personal hygiene and mobility (walker or manual wheelchair)
- Accompanying her and assisting with outings (walks, swimming, bowling, shopping, etc.)
- Accompanying her and assisting with home leisure and home hobby activities
- Helping her dine at home or in restaurants
- Providing light housekeeping related to her needs (meal preparation, bed making, etc.)

She enjoys water therapy, trips to the symphony, and spending time outdoors, and you’ll play a key role in facilitating these activities.

**Schedule & Compensation**
- 3 consecutive 24-hour live-in shifts with the requirement to remain on-site for the full 72 hours
- Friday at 8:00 a.m. to Monday at 8:00 a.m.
- Each 24-hour period includes a scheduled rest period of at least 8 hours
- If rest periods are interrupted our compensation for additional hours will be provided
- $275/day, training provided
- This position falls under the “Residential Care Worker” category as defined by the Employment Standards Act
- Located in Burnaby, near Brentwood Mall and Holdom SkyTrain

**Qualifications**:

- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities strongly preferred
- Confidence in assisting the supported person with their physical mobility and ensuring their safety
- Adequate physical strength to prevent falls (the individual is 145 cm tall, weighs 38 kg/85 lbs, and is prone to falls)
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license with a good driving record (HandyDart and public transportation options are available, but driving is preferred)
- Ability to pass a Criminal Records Review Program check (employer will assist with paperwork)
- CPR-C and Emergency First Aid certification (employer can assist with facilitating training)
- Ability to swim (The supported person enjoys swimming in public pools, and you’ll assist with these sessions)
