The **Maintenance Person** is responsible for performing routine manual tasks to ensure the cleanliness and sanitary condition and appearance of the office, buildings, hallways and driveways and washroom facilities and other custodial tasks necessary for the upkeep of buildings and grounds. The **Maintenance Person** is also responsible for performing minor repairs and seasonal maintenance tasks such as landscaping and snow cleaning as assigned by the maintenance supervisor and/or the site management team.

**Typical work activities**

Typical work activities can be classified into the following categories:
**Cleaning and Sanitation**:

- Cleans office, hallways and driveways, bathrooms and any other assigned areas.
- Washes windows and walls with prescribed solutions.
- Empties trash containers and disposes of waste when assigned.

**Maintenance**:

- Replaces light bulbs and repair light fixtures if necessary.
- Performs minor repairs to doors, hinges and lubricates locks and report major maintenance items to the site manager.
- Cuts grass, trims shrubs, waters plants and performs other related duties on the grounds when assigned.
- Removes snow from walkways and access doors and/or storage units when needed.

**Safety and Security**:

- Reports safety hazards to site manager.
- Exercises vigilance and reports any suspicious activities after office hours to the site manager.

We are currently hiring for one full-time maintenance/cleaning person for our Apple Self Storage East Gwillimbury location. 15-25 hours per week, day shift and must be flexible as required by manager. $18/hour with opportunities for more hours as necessary. **Own transportation is required.**Must have knowledge of tools and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
