Zapp Electrical Contractors Ltd. is a fast-growing electrical company specializing in fiber optics. We currently have opportunities for entry-level positions for those wishing to join a fantastic team in Victoria.

Applicants will start as a Technician Level 1, joining the Zapp team installing fiber optics into homes in Victoria. You will be working under the supervision of a Team Leader, and assist in the installation, testing, and finalization of fiber optic installs in buildings/homes with the Vancouver region. In addition to gaining expertise in the fast growing fiber optics field, opportunities in additional electrical fields also exist.

Responsibilities include:

- Follow direction of team leader
- Work outdoors and in various conditions as required
- Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
- Assisting fiber technicians installing fiber optic cables for customers.
- Assisting fiber technicians installing new pathways for fiber optic install.
- Working to keep site organized and clean.
- Working with Hydrovac for Trenching of new pathways
- Working with existing underground conduits for fiber optic line installation.
- Any and all other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned in order to meet company objectives.

Qualifications include:

- Electrical experience is an asset, but not required
- Hold a valid BC drivers license
- Commitment to upholding company standards regarding Health and Safety, and willing to receive training as required
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work indoors/outdoors and in all weather conditions
- Ability to follow direction of direct supervisor(s)
