**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Beverage Preparation**:

- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including coffee, espresso, tea and specialty drinks, following standard recipes and procedures
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all beverages

**2. Guest service**:

- Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Take guest orders, provide recommendations and customize beverages based on guest requests
- Address guest inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly

**3. Cash Handling**:

- Process guest payments accurately using POS system
- Handle cash, credit cards and electronic payments while maintaining cash register integrity

**4. Food Preparation**:

- Handle food preparation and presentation, including heating pastries, sandwiches and other menu items
- Ensure food is fresh, property labelled and stocked

**5. Cleanliness and Organization**:

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Adhere to sanitation and hygiene standards to ensure a safe and healthy environment for guests and colleagues

**6. Stock Management**:

- Monitor inventory levels of all supplies
- Restock items as needed and communicate inventory needs to manager

**7. Team Collaboration**:

- Work cooperatively with fellow baristas and team members to ensure efficient and smooth operations
- Communicate effectively to ensure timely execution of orders and tasks

**8. Promotions and Upselling**:

- Stay informed about current promotions, new menu items and seasonal offerings and proactively engage guests with information

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in guest service, food service or coffee preparation is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and colleagues
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.37 per hour
