**About Potash**
BHP’s Jansen Potash Project located approximately 140 km east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is BHP’s first and most advanced potash project. Jansen will add diversity and a Canadian presence to BHP’s global portfolio. Jansen’s large resource endowment provides the opportunity to develop it in stages, with anticipated initial capacity of 4.35 Mtpa. The BHP Board has recently sanctioned Jansen Project (Stage 1), with a US $5.7 billion investment. The project is now entering the construction phase, with the first potash expected in 2027.
**Purpose**:
Reporting to the Head of Project Management Office (PMO), the Principal Integration PMO provides project integration, monitoring and governance of the Jansen project. They actively seek opportunities for value creation and preservation by supporting the establishment of program-wide strategies for standardization, replication and continuity.
**About the Role**:
In this role, you will:
- Contribute to the preparation for business and project interactions with the Project Steering Committee and Executive Leadership Team
- Establish and embed a framework to drive Capital Efficiencies
- Remove barriers/constraints and work with key stakeholders to drive alignment to enable project success
- Engage with the Projects sub-functions to assure against the functional requirements for program management, project management, project engineering, construction and commissioning processes and systems
- Source and analyse trusted data and information to identify key takeaways to inform decision making related to stakeholder relationships and business strategies
- Support the management of communications for all interfaces between Projects and other Functions
- Leverage program wide standards, internal regional standards, and processes for project governance and assurance
- Conduct benchmarking, implement prioritisation methodologies and identify key investment drivers to effectively manage key requirements across the portfolio
- Conduct presentations and facilitate workshops using storytelling to connect, influence and engage the audience
- Contribute to the creation of an environment in which internal lessons learned and external best practices are part of the operational processes
- Actively challenge the status quo, including informing key stakeholders and driving continuous improvement of performance, recommending any changes required to identify capital efficiency initiatives and productivity improvements
- Make evidence based and strategic decisions in alignment with longer term business objectives
- Identify and assess risks, make risk informed decisions, use BHP's risk management framework and build a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes
- Strive to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste
**Work Location**:
Downtown, Saskatoon; 40 hours per week, parking is provided on-site.
**About You**:
- Degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Related experience in a stakeholder management role
- Certification in Project or Change Management is preferred
- Experience in Major Capital Studies or Projects is desirable
- Strong understanding of Project Management, including business and financial drivers related to projects
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in a team environment
- Superior interpersonal skills to interact and influence consultants and stakeholders
- Communicate key issues to critical stakeholders and is equally comfortable communicating verbally or in written form
- Experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean Performance Improvement practices
