Aramark is hiring a Chef Manager to run our small culinary operations inside a government building in Gatineau, right by Casino Lac-Leamy. This is a two (2) person operation and is a Monday - Friday DAY Shift Parking expenses at the building site will be reimbursed
We know that a Chef’s job isn’t only about the food. It takes skills, dedication, patience, and the right opportunities. We’re looking for Chef Manager who can help us deliver the best customer service and food experiences.
**Responsibilities**:
- Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities
- Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
- Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen

**Qualifications**:
- Requires 3-5 years culinary experience and 1-2 years management experience
- Post-secondary culinary degree or diploma is preferred
- Experience running a small kitchen, managing food costs, ordering, conducting inventory
- Computer skills to order on-line and manage P&L reporting
- Ability to prepare a variety of dishes including ethnic or international cuisine
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage the one staff member and interact with our customers
- Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
- In addition to a standard Criminal Background Check a government Enhanced Reliability clearance will also be required upon hire.
