Omega Laboratories Inc. is looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our forensic toxicology lab in Mississauga, Ontario. This is a permenant full-time position for working 40 hours a week in either morning or evening shift. The position is mainly focused on Monday - Friday with an occasional rotation on the weekends. The salary is negotiable depending on the level of experience

Duties or Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures based on manual and automated technologies according to standard operating procedures.
- Prepare specimens for testing while ensuring specimen integrity and maintaining chain of custody and documentation.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure the accuracy and precision of test results
- Perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Experience and Qualification
1. A four-year degree in science/chemistry

2. Strong laboratory skills, including knowledge of lab techniques and procedures.

3. Previous experience working with chemistry analyzers is a must.

4. Previous experience with mass spectrometry will be an asset.

5. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

6. Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.

7. Ability to work independently.

8. Must be a team player.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
