Telecon is looking for an energetic and motivated individual to join our growing Civil Team in Ottawa in the position of Aerial Line Supervisor This is a field position/on the road.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary along with the following:

As a member of the leadership team and an advocate for health and safety, the Aerial Line Supervisor will work closely with the Management team and field operations to ensure that the company’s mission and guiding principles are adhered to. He/she will use the Telecon Group SMART values to meet company objectives while providing the necessary support to field operations.

**YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO**:

- Supervise field crews and sub-contractors
- Work with the Project Management team and Contract Coordinators to plan and distribute work to field crews
- Ensure accurate and detailed billing is completed in a timely manner
- Travel between job sites to follow-up and ensure that project timelines are maintained according to client expectations
- Ensure that health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to
- Provide ongoing coaching and training to team members on various aspects in the field
- Communicate and work with clients (internal and external), Managers, Municipalities and locate companies to ensure that any obstacles are removed, and projects are completed to client specifications and within timeline(s)
- Other duties as needed

**THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES**:

- Completion of high school or Post Secondary education in a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of telecommunications Aerial line work operations
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team
- Outstanding interpersonal, influencing skills to build strong relationships, and network effectively with all levels of the organization and with external clients and partners
- Ability to read and interpret utility plans and general contracts
- Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite
- Full G driver's license with a good driver's abstract and the ability to travel to various job sites
