**KV Capital Private Equity (“KVPE”)**

Launched in 2017, KVPE invests in operating companies with strong business fundaments and clear growth catalysts. Currently, we manage investor capital across 3 funds. Fund I is a niche fund focused on manufacturing and distribution businesses in the RV space and is in its exit stage. Fund II is a generalist fund focused on distribution companies in non-real estate sectors that is in its hold stage. Fund III is in deployment as a strategic real estate-adjacent focused fund, targeting companies that manufacture and distribute building products.

**Position** **Analyst, Private Equity**

**Location** Edmonton, Alberta

**Your Opportunity**

As an Analyst in our Private Equity team, you will play an integral role in supporting the preparation of new investment opportunities, conducting industry research on business and market fundamentals, developing investment models and financial analysis, and conducting due diligence on potential transactions and ongoing investments. Your ability to stay informed on fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments relevant to KV Capital and its investments, and to critically assess market conditions and trends will be critical in this role.

**Your Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in preparing investment summaries and presentations for the investment committee.
- Conduct various analyses, including valuation, financial modelling, and comparable analysis.
- Monitor fundamental economic, industry, and corporate developments relevant to KV Capital and its portfolio investments.
- Provide continuous support to the private equity team for target entities under due diligence.
- Support portfolio investment initiatives, quarterly governance deliverables, and other strategic initiatives.
- Maintain the proprietary targets lead databases and compile regular lead activity reports.
- Maintain the intermediary database of deal flow metrics and compile regular activity reports.
- Support Directors in managing fund investments, including cash flow model modeling and regular forecasting.
- Participate in team meetings and support Directors with necessary research, analysis, or administrative requirements for both new and existing investments.
- Gain insights into other KV Capital business units and collaborate on joint projects as required.

**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, mathematics, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Progress towards or completion of CFA, CPA, or CBV certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience in capital markets, investment banking, corporate development, advisory services, or broader financial services.
- A strong interest in and understanding of private market transactions.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerPoint, Pitchbook, and DealCloud,.
- An inquisitive personality with a strong drive for continuous learning.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate at all organizational levels.
- Ability to assume a high level of responsibility.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce professional-quality materials and present recommendations effectively.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills to handle competing priorities and tight deadlines.
