**Job Title**:
Guest experience manager

**Main Purpose of the Job**:
To craft a wonderful experience for all our guest as they enter the restaurant, in an energetic and welcoming manner, that follows the flow of seating and accommodates guest requests as best as possible. Also responsible for taking detailed reservations in person as well as over the phone, and contacting guests for confirmations in a timely manner. Assist GM and events manager with event bookings.

**Reports to**:
Restaurant Manager/GM

**Duties and Responsibilities**: Duties include but are not limited to:
Greeting and seating guests
Taking/modifying/confirming reservations
Assigning reservations to tables as evenly as possible as per the floor plan
Setting up large reservations as necessary
Answering the store phone
Keeping the Host stand fully stocked and organized at all times
Reporting directly to the Events Manager or Head Hostess to coordinate large group events
Clearing and resetting tables throughout service
Assisting servers with tasks as needed such as cutlery, restocking, etc.
Maintaining general cleanliness of the restaurant

**Qualifications**:
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years working in a restaurant preferred
Previous host(ess) experience considered an asset
Must speak fluent English. Any additional languages considered an asset.

**Working Conditions**:
Potentially long hours
Weekends
Late nights
Occasionally outdoors for patio seating

**Hot conditions**: Patio during the summer months

**Chemicals**: We have a range of chemicals and will train you to use them safely and effectively.

**Schedule**: Must be able to work a range of shifts from, early morning starts(7am) to late night finishes (3/4am)

Physical Requirements

Strenght Guidelines
Must be able to lift in excess of 10lbs to move tables, chairs, and transport event equipment as well as carry trays with dishes and glassware from tables.
Must be able to work on foot for upwards of 8 hours with appropriate breaks given.
Must be able to go up and down stairs frequently
Must be able to make quick decisions and multitask

Motion Parameters
Have the ability to climb stairs frequently throughout the shift.
The job may require squatting, kneeling, standing & walking
Must be confident in carrying a tray.
Have a sense of urgency

Vision and Hearing Requirements
Will be required to use and operate store cell phone and Ipad.
Will be required to communicate with colleagues so an efficient service can run.
Will be required to operate the point of sale system and credit card machine.

Psychological Demands
Will be required to lead a shift. e.g making sure all duties are completed and signed off on by delegated staff.
Have a strong mindset. The job can be challenging at times.
Able to focus while having other tasks to-do.
