About Us

Toronto Crafts is a **founder-led** studio rooted in hands-on learning, slow making, and community. We’re a warm, intentional, and accessible space where people learn new trades and crafts—**woodworking, jewelry, leather, stained glass, têxtiles, renovation/DIY**—and leave with real skills and real things they made themselves.

Our north star**:accessibility, circularity, and autonomy**. Teaching here means helping people repair, reuse, and create—so they rely less on throwaway culture and more on their own two hands.

We’re Hiring Instructors In
- **Renovation / DIY** (tiling, drywall, Tools 101)
- **Woodworking** (joinery, carving, machine intro, furniture builds) (Hand tools)
- **Jewellery** (silver work, lost-wax casting, beading)
- **Upholstery and Furniture Repair**:

- **Leather Wet Mold**:

- **Knife Sharpening & Tool Maintenance**:

- **Stained Glass**:

- **Weaving & Textiles**

What You’ll Do
- Lead **2-3 hour, beginner-friendly** classes for **6-10 students**:

- Teach skills **clearly and safely**—we welcome total beginners
- Set up and reset your teaching area (we keep it efficient)
- Contribute to a **supportive, inclusive** learning environment
- Optional: develop lesson plans, run seasonal intensives, or host specialty sessions

Who You Are
- A **skilled maker/tradesperson/artist** with deep knowledge in one of the above areas
- Energized by **sharing knowledge** and watching students “get it”
- **Friendly, patient, and safety-conscious** with first-timers
- **Great communicator** who can break down steps cleanly
- Bonus: teaching or group-facilitation experience
