IT Technician technical Support

An Information Technology Technician, or Technical Support Person, is necessary to keep computer systems running smoothly and efficiently. IT Technicians must diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware and software components for efficient system operation. They are also responsible for configuring most internal computer hardware. IT Technicians are usually the first point of contact for IT support within the company.
**DETAILED TASKS **(not limited to)**:
- Installing and configuring hardware and software components
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Repairing or replacing damaged hardware
- Upgrading systems to enable software compatibility
- Installing and upgrading anti-virus software and security systems to ensure network security
- Performing tests and evaluations on software and hardware
- Offering information and support to users
- Maintaining relationships with different employees and departments
**REQUIRED TRAINING**:
- bachelor’s degree or higher certification in information technology, computer science, software engineering or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a related role
- Prior management experience an asset
