We do this by providing character-based leadership programs, workshops, assemblies and community service. With fun physical and cognitive activities, we introduce and emphasize positive values to enable youth to see beyond their circumstances and lead with purpose.

Position Description

As Camp Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading and supporting summer camp staff to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency before, during, and post summer camp. Your role will entail equipping counsellors within their roles, ensuring daily camp operations are running smoothly, and supporting the Camp Manager and Site Supervisor with any administrative tasks.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience leading teams
- Open to receiving and delivering constructive feedback
- Strong sense of self-accountability
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate unexpected challenges
- Open to offer high energy as well as being mindful of details and opportunities to connect with youth and staff
- Excellent written, verbal and face-to-face communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) required
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain one)
- Must be able to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check

Tasks & Responsibilities

**Staff Leadership and Supervision**:

- Supporting the manager with assessing/refining the current equipment/inventory management system;
- Assisting the camp manager and supervisor with the delivery of the training program for staff and volunteers;
- Supervising and providing feedback for summer camp staff and volunteers as well as conducting performance reviews.

**Collaboration**:

- Leading and participating in ongoing debriefing meetings to ensure programming excellence.

**Program Activities**:

- Coordinating camp activities and outings;
- Participating in summer camp programming activities;
- Reviewing graduation evaluation forms for campers.

**Administrative Duties**:

- Reviewing and understanding the summer camp manual;
- Assisting in recruiting summer camp counsellors and volunteers;
- Assisting admin with tracking participant attendance;
- Securing and filing important documents.

**Safety and Wellbeing**:

- Ensuring Health and Safety policies and Work Environment policies are followed.

**Communication**:

- Communicating professionally with parents/guardians of campers.

**Problem-Solving and Crisis Management**:

- Handling all issues from a Trauma Informed perspective;
- Address and resolve conflicts or issues among participants, staff, or stakeholders with professionalism;
- Ensuring all incident reports are properly inputted and handled with attention to detail.

**Camp Program Review**:

- Assessing and providing feedback regarding training program for summer camp staff and volunteers;
- Sharing program/process improvement ideas during the summer camp Debrief Week and exit interviews.

**Compensation**:$21.55

**Start Date**: June 16th, 2025

**End Date**: August 15th, 2025
