This role supports management in overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of commercial/light industrial properties.

**Highlights of job duties include**:

- Provide an excellent level of customer service to our tenants; develop strong working relationships with contractors and vendors
- Assist with negotiating and managing the leasing process and documentation
- Design scope of work for property maintenance, repairs, improvements, security, janitorial services, landscaping, snow removal etc. Obtain bids, obtain best prices and services, award contracts, issue work orders, monitor progress and arrange payment.
- Develop a marketing approach to develop new tenant opportunities and new purchases
- Oversee our property maintenance and cleaning
- Administrative duties include invoicing, collections, payables, maintenance of schedules (rent roll, security deposits, tenants insurance and maintenance compliance, etc.) and some accounting with oversight from the CFO
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget; provide monthly status and financial performance reports on the properties
- Ensure that there is 24-hour emergency coverage for the properties at all times
- Assist in researching new properties or projects to invest in
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commercial property management role
- A post-secondary degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- While not a requirement, an accounting designation would be considered an asset
- A good understanding of how commercial leases operate
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiating skills; strong verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible, adaptable and dependable
- Must have a good working knowledge of the basics of construction: electrical, plumbing, roofing, painting, etc.
- A natural problem-solver, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize workloads
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
