Estimator/project Manager

Brockville, Canada R.D. Steele Construction (1979) Ltd. Full time

**Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Prepares work take-offs and estimates on projects including costs of materials, labour and equipment required for projects based on contract bids, quotations, drawings and specifications
- Conducts material and equipment purchasing for secured key projects
- Ensure project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards are in accordance with company policy and contract specifications are met
- Comply with all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Assist in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress against established timelines
- Complete quantity take offs from construction drawings, track and update as-built quantities and field verify when required
- Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients
- Document control
- Other duties as assigned

**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**
- Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience will be considered

**WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- 3-7 years of Estimating experience in the construction sector working on Construction Projects

**SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS**

Proficient knowledge and understanding of:

- Contract management
- Construction scheduling, planning, and execution
- Blueprint reading
- Financial statements read and comprehend
- Organization and time management
- Valid driver’s license

Proficient user of:

- MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- AutoCAD/Blue Beam

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $44,455.94-$115,093.59 per year
