**Construction/Industrial estimator**

Job duties
- Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment for construction/industrial projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings, and specifications
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate industrial/construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
- Prepare and submit construction/industrial project budget estimates
- Plan and prepare schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules
- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients
- Direct the purchase of materials
- Establish and maintain tendering process and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
- Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
- Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors, and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
- Manage and coordinate construction projects and prepare construction progress schedules.
- Estimators may specialize in estimating costs for structural or mechanical construction projects.

**Salary**: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
