Edmonton Meat Packing, a food processing facility located in N. E. Edmonton is currently recruiting for a committed and energetic Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing the building and relevant food-processing equipment. This individual will perform a variety of skilled mechanical/electrical maintenance and repair duties on various types of equipment in accordance with accepted standards, regulations, procedures, and protocols. Some general building maintenance duties will also be required.

**General working knowledge**:

- Experience with refrigeration, hydraulic, pneumatic and/or mechanical systems, conveyors, pumps, hoses, valves, PCL, and motors.
- Food processing equipment and building PLC troubleshooting.

**Qualifications**:

- Red-Seal Journeyman Electrician Certification preferred, any additional trade certifications (Millwright, Welder, Machinist, Power Engineering, etc.) would be considered an asset.
- Two or more years of progressive, responsible experience as a Maintenance Supervisor and or Manager.
- Previous experience in a food-processing facility is a definite asset.
- Basic computer skills - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- A valid first aid and CPR certificate would be considered an asset.

This position requires an individual who can meet the physical demands of the role, including but not limited to extensive standing, walking, bending and some heavy lifting. Excellent English communications skills both verbally and in writing are required. Building superior interpersonal relationships in a team environment including problem solving and a positive proactive work force are desired assets as is the ability to “think outside the box”.

This is a Monday-to-Friday, day-shift position. Overtime may be required from time to time.

Criminal records check and validation of all education and/or training will be required.

The successful applicant will be required to reside in, or be willing to move to, the City of Edmonton or within easy commuting distance.
