**Role Overview**:
As the Electrical Shop Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading our operations while closely overseeing project timelines, quality control, and resource management. You’ll manage a talented team of designers, builders, and laborers to ensure that all work is completed on schedule and meets our high standards. Your focus will include not only team leadership but also a project management approach that ensures seamless execution, from initial work order to final delivery.
**Payrate**:
Wages starting at $35/hour.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Project Leadership: Manage the lifecycle of panel shop projects from planning to completion, ensuring that deadlines, quality standards, and budgets are met.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor a cross-functional team, strategically assigning tasks and fostering a collaborative work environment that values continuous improvement.
- Inventory Management: The shop coordinates all inbound and outbound materials including those for our other divisions. Process and attention to detail will ensure success.
- Work Allocation & Scheduling: Coordinate workflow and resources to optimize team performance, ensuring project milestones are met with efficiency and precision.
- Progress Monitoring: Track project progress and resolve challenges proactively to keep deliverables on schedule.
- Quality Assurance: Lead quality control efforts, performing inspections to ensure all products meet specifications, safety standards, and CSA requirements.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Provide hands-on support in resolving complex technical issues, ensuring smooth project execution and knowledge-sharing across the team.
- Resource Management: Strategically manage resources, including equipment, materials, and labor, to maximize productivity and maintain cost-effectiveness.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, from work orders to CSA tracking forms, ensuring transparency and traceability for internal and client audits.
- Safety & Compliance: Uphold a safe, clean, and organized work environment, enforcing safety regulations and company policies.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with procurement, customer service, and other departments to align project goals and customer expectations.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and refine shop processes to enhance productivity and deliver top-tier results.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:
- Project Management Mindset: Proven experience in managing projects, leading teams, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership: A strong track record of guiding diverse teams to success, inspiring continuous improvement, and ensuring accountability.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Technical Expertise: Solid knowledge of electrical panel systems, with hands-on experience troubleshooting and providing technical support.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail in quality assurance and project documentation.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (ConnectWise experience is a plus) for tracking project status, team hours, and resource management.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to team members and stakeholders clearly.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electrical systems is preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in a supervisory role within an electrical panel shop or related environment.
- Experience in project management is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of shop tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Electrical Safety, Lean practices) are beneficial.
- Experience in automation panel building is a plus.
