**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**

Provide Customer Service Excellence:

- Communicate directly and pro-actively with customers and partners

Sales Role:

- Cold call, prospect and qualify companies within the defined region
- Track all customer communication in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program
- Conduct Lunch and Learns, as required
- Attend customer visits scheduled by the sales channel, as required
- Follow-up on all quotations over $10,000CAD directly or in collaboration with sales channel
- Attend webinars, meetings and training, as required
- Complete expense claims on a monthly basis
- Collaborate with sales channel partners to enhance regional coverage
- Plan territory coverage in the most time efficient manner possible
- Provide technical support with documentation, drawings, customer training, site visits and demonstrations

Other Duties:

- Comply with OHSA, company policies and procedures, and safety practices to ensure the safety of every worker performing on duty to SAMSON
- Adhere to SAMSON′s Quality standards
- Participate in all company required training
- Other duties as assigned by management

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Prior experience in Industrial or Process Automation sales (2+ years)
- Prior experience with cold calling and prospecting (2+ years)
- Managing sales cycles between 6 weeks and 2 years
- Previous experience managing a defined region
- Previous experience utilizing a CRM with all customer interactions
- An energetic self-starter with the desire to achieve challenging objectives and think outside of the box
- Advanced oral and written communication in English (French is an asset) with strong report writing skills
- Strong Customer Service orientation and skills
- Problem-solving skills and adaptability to deal with conflicts, setbacks and change
- Detail-oriented person with analytical ability and listening skills and an innovative problem-solver
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong MS Office knowledge and computer skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills to deal with occasional heavy workloads and multi-tasking

Required Education:

- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of experience and post-secondary education

Description of the Work Environment:

- Home Office, Office, and visits to customer operations or production facilities

Amount of Travel:

- 30-50% day trips away from the office but within Canada, 20-30% overnight trips within Canada

Work Schedule:

- 8:30am to 5:00pm, but hours will vary according to the requirements of sales activities
