Job Profile
The Tool & Vending Coordinator is responsible for controlling consumables inventory levels appropriate to meet business needs, researching and purchasing consumables and new equipment into the tool program in accordance with Prairie Machine policies and procedures. The Tool & Vending Coordinator is further responsible for aiding selection of and issuing tools and other equipment to employees while maintaining accurate records of the tools released. Additional responsibilities include the forecasting and development of inventory management policies and procedures for ensuring the availability of all necessary tools and consumables to support the manufacturing process and ensuring adequate stock levels for production requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute consumable purchases in a cost-effective manner
- Monitor monthly expenditures against budgeted
- Maintain and develop internal consumables inventory system, cataloging process, SOP’s, and policies
- Manage the third-party Vendor Managed Consumables program
- Maintain accurate tool and consumable inventory; issue tools and equipment to employees, track current location of tools and equipment, including usernames and corresponding dates of the issuance and return of the equipment.
- Plan and execute an on-going physical inventory of fixed assets by department.
- Receive new tool and consumable inventory in accordance with established procedures into department.
- Ensure adequate stock levels of tooling and consumables for production/manufacturing requirements.
- Conduct monthly tool and consumable inventory audits and report on findings.
- Job specific tooling selection, ability to coordinate with lead hands and supervisors to select appropriate tooling for maximizing job performance
- Collaborate with planning and engineering to advance plan job appropriate tooling
- Coordinate and submit timely and accurate inventory control data and analysis for monthly review
- Ensure that excess property is properly stored and accounted for and that procedures and practices are implemented to preclude loss, damage, and/or theft.
- Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment.
- Identify discrepancies between inventory records and follow required procedures.
- Other duties as required.

- Recommend improvements and develop improvement plans in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions
- Maintain a well-organized and clean facility as per Prairie Machine vision
- Maintain all equipment and tools per recommended procedures
- Ability to work as a respectable, professional, and efficient team member
- Maintain a healthy work environment and develop employees on a professional level
- Understand and help Supervisor convey Prairie machines strategic plan on annual basis
- Participate and attend Meetings when required
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and ideas
**Qualifications**:
- **Working experience in Industrial manufacturing or tooling industry required.**:
- **High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.**:
- Knowledge of local and national markets for the industry.
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
