Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Permitting Assistant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the successful planning and execution of concerts, with a focus on managing the necessary permits and approvals for pyrotechnic special effects.

As the Permitting, you will be responsible for coordinating with local authorities and regulatory agencies to obtain the appropriate permits for the use of special effects, such as pyrotechnics, flame effects, lasers, and atmospherics. You will also collaborate closely with concert organizers, production teams, and venue managers to ensure that all necessary documents, inspections, and safety protocols are in place and followed.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Coordinate with local authorities and regulatory agencies to obtain the required permits and ensure compliance with all regulations and safety standards.

Create and maintain permit fee estimates.

Assist in the creation of documentation required, including pyrotechnic information packages, plots/drawings, and product lists.

Maintain the database that keeps track of all permitting requirements/contacts/venue restrictions as well as tour schedules and show dates.

Record and track the progress of the permitting process for all shows.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with Project Managers, Colleagues and Partners.

Communicate any changes or updates to the special effects plans to relevant stakeholders.

Assist with any additional tasks/projects as requested.

Complete and maintain company and technician licenses and renewals.

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Markham, ON L3R 0E1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Administrative: 1 year (preferred)
