Front Desk and Patrol Security Guard

Blackbird Security Inc**.**is looking to hire **Front Desk and Patrol guards** to join our security team in **Ajax, Ontario**.

You will play a crucial role in safeguarding our warehouse site and ensuring a secure environment for all stakeholders. Combining responsibilities at the front desk with regular patrols of the facility, you will be responsible for the safety and security at the site.

**What you will do**
- Assist site management with daily site opening and closing procedures, including monitoring and securing all emergency and dock doors.
- Ensure check-in procedures are followed by all staff, vendors, and visitors at the site.
- Review building safety regulations when people first arrive at the building.
- Maintain accurate visitor logs and issue access badges to all visitors, contractors, and temporary employees entering the site.
- Ensure only individuals with valid ID's are allowed access to the site.
- Conduct bag and employee checks for all employees exiting the site.
- Assist management with emergencies such as evacuations, power outages, fire drills and investigations.
- Consistently monitor the CCTV system.
- Receive parcels and provide access to couriers and delivery suppliers.
- Conduct interior, exterior and perimeter patrols to deter unauthorized entry, vandalism, or theft, identifying and escalating all security violations to the supervisor.
- Check and scan all site access points and promptly communicate all safety and security hazards to the site management.
- Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities in detailed reports for review and analysis.
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Minimum of 6 months of security experience is preferred.
- Prior customer service experience is preferred.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, with access control experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to be active and patrol as needed during the shift.
- A Use of Force certification is an asset
- Computer savviness, and experience using Microsoft Office suite, are preferred.
