**About the Role**
The **Materials and Purchasing Coordinator** will be responsible for coordinating consistent flow of materials and ensuring there is appropriate inventory for GMP and non-GMP production and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals. The Materials and Purchasing Coordinator will proactively review production schedules, place purchase orders, receive incoming goods, organize material disposition, and maintain material information an inventory records to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time.
**What You Will Do**
- Process purchase requests following policy guidelines.
- Manage flow and inventory of material between different building and sites.
- Complete daily inventory transactions including inventory transfers, inventory adjustments and disposals in the inventory database.
- Manage receiving for both products and materials.
- Monitor inventory for quantity, lot status and expiration dates as per QA requirements.
- Manage disposition of non-GMP and GMP Raw Materials.
- Review and upload packing slips to confirm accuracy against the purchase order.
- Follow up on all back orders.
- Proactively communicate with various AtomVie teams regarding status of their orders.
- Liase with the University to procure radioactive materials as required.
- Assist with month end activities as required.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
- Plan, Oversee and participate in the materials management operations and activities
- Work alongside purchasing to work within approved budget for all materials and products
- Drive continuous improvement of the supplies movement and inventory level optimization to minimize errors, align with strategic initiatives and improve efficiency
- Maintain material sheets and inventory records
- Handle the logistics and operations of the GE Warehouse
- Perform all other duties as assigned
**Experience Necessary**
- 2-5 years’ experience supply chain, purchasing or warehouse/ distribution operation
- Certificate in supply chain or related disciplines or equivalent qualifications in business administration
- Understanding of WHMIS and SDS
- Understanding of Good Distribution and Good Warehousing Practices
- Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing company is an asset
- Strong communication skills: written and verbal
- In depth knowledge or warehouse operations, materials management, logistics and supply chain
- Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment; ability to work autonomously; flexible to adjust work load based on changing priorities
- Flexibility in hours to ensure production schedules are met and shipment of product is successful
- Quality and Process improvement mindset
- Strong communication skills: written and verbal
