As a world leader in the design and manufacturing industry, Active Exhaust is seeking an eager and enthusiastic **Production Scheduler **to join our successful Toronto team immediately. We are looking for a talent with solid professional skills.
**Position Overview**:
The Production Scheduler is responsible for maintaining and coordinating production work orders, as well as plan/schedule for all Sales Orders and Forecast to meet budget and on time delivery to the customer.
This position will report to the Planning Manager.
**What you will be doing**:
- Analyzes Customer demand by running MRP for the internal and external warehouses on a weekly/bi-weekly basis based on requirements and review demand to create necessary work orders.
- Communicates and coordinates with all other departments with regards to all scheduling issues, especially with Customer Service dealing with reporting of current and future Customer schedules.
- Ensure completed work orders have material and labour assigned on a daily basis.
- Attend ECN meetings and update work orders to match BOM and Routing changes.
- Create PILOT stage work orders and coordinate with Program Managers to review when production ready.
- Manage External Warehouses by supporting with work orders and appropriate documentation.
- Manage work order revision changes on LCC (low cost center) areas.
- Maintain work orders in the system by running cancel/reschedule reports.
- Ensure open WIP is reviewed, investigated, and resolved on a regular basis.
- Support month end activities (Finance Department) by analyzing WIP variances on orders.
- Consolidate work orders as requested by the Materials Department.
- Complies with all new methods, systems, processes, policies, procedures to ensure efficient and effective operation of activities.
- Participates in continuous improvement of department/plant operations and adopt Quality Management Systems and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Completes and ensures that all necessary reports and written documentation comply with
- Active policy & procedures.
- Actively participate in safe work and good housekeeping practices within the current OHSA by employing daily observation.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
**What you bring along**:
- Relevant University or College Diploma
- 5 years similar experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of MRP environment. Previous Syspro experience a definite asset
- Proficient with MS Office (including Word, Excel, MS Access).
- Must be detail-oriented and perseverant, well organized, diligent and able to spot discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and mathematical skills
- Must be fluent in English (written/verbal)
