We are looking for an experienced Travel Agent to join our team If you are passionate and enthusiastic about travelling, and if you love improving others' travelling experiences, you will love this job

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Research various destinations.
- Plan and organize travels by booking tickets and accommodation, securing rental transportation etc.
- Inform clients and provide useful travel material (guides, maps, event programs etc).
- Collect deposits and balances.
- Suggest suitable travel options that best suite clients' needs.
- Attend webinars, conferences and other educational programs.
- Use promotional techniques and offer different services and offerings.
- Keep learning about latest industry trends.
- Research destination and travel prices, customs, weather conditions, reviews etc.
- Research and study clients’ specifications and wishes.
- Suggest suitable travel options that best suite clients' needs.

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- 1-2 years of experience as a Travel Consultant or similar role.
- Passionate about travel and tourism.
- Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Good sales skills and customer oriented approach.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
- Team player.
- Excellent knowledge about latest tourism trends.
- Good understanding on different tourism offerings and options.
- Good knowledge of travel software.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good time-management skills.

**Salary**: $17.92-$22.52 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON K1Z 6W3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
