A welding shop material coordinator job involves physically receiving, verifying, and storing fittings and other materials delivered to the welding shop. Key responsibilities include inspecting incoming materials against purchase orders, documenting deliveries, managing inventory, and organizing the material storage area to ensure smooth operations for welders and fabricators. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and prevent material shortages or mismatches.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Receive materials with accuracy. Knowledge of Pipe and Structural Materials an asset.
- Understands the basics of load securement, working around equipment, and the role of the material handler
- Experience using skid steer or telehandler
- Perform daily equipment checks
- To repeatedly handle heavy lifting and carrying in a fast-paced work environment.
- Understands and ensures consistent compliance with company policy, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Safely uses tools and equipment.
- Efficiently completes internal safety documentation with a keen attention to detail.
- Work with other equipment operators to load/un-load/move materials
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials
- Report any damaged, incorrect, or missing materials to the purchasing department or supervisor.
- Takes direction well, able to produce quality work with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.

Background in quality control, welding, or pipefitting is preferred

Hours: 10hrs/day

Shift TBD: 12 / 2 or 10- 4

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 - 70 per week
