Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant
**Position Purpose summary**:
Join the BEST team The role is responsible for the day-to-day administrative/bookkeeping duties to keep our head office running smoothly.
In this role you will be tasked with reception duties, bookkeeping and clerical tasks. Utilizing your attention to detail and interpersonal skills within the organization is essential to the role.
We are looking for individuals who actively seek opportunities for improvement and consistently strive to succeed in our South Edmonton office.

**Key Accountabilities**:
**Accounting Duties**:
- Accounts Payable - receive and process vendor invoices, corporate credit cards and employee expenses attaching approved POs and signed bills of lading
- Code source documents to appropriate accounts
- Accounts Receivable - processing sales orders/invoices, track customer deposits, process credit card payments and bank deposits
- Processing Inventory
- In and Out
- Distributor Sales Commissions
**General Office Duties**:
- Answering, screening, and directing telephone calls and inquiries
- Greet and respond to visitors/customers
- Communicate with outside Sales Distributors
- Resolve routine inquiries
- File documents electronically and/or manually
- Photocopy and distribute materials as requested
- Draft and type correspondence as required
- Open mail/distribute mail
- Book tradeshows and accommodations
- Order stationery and office supplies
**Qualifications and Education requirements**:
- High School Diploma.
- Post-Secondary certificate in Accounting is an asset
- Solid computer skills in a MS environment. Must include Sage Accounting, Word and Excel
- 2+ years’ experience in accounting and/or admin is an asset

**Days and Hours of Work**:
This is an in-office, full time position.
Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, with 1 hour paid lunch break
