Responsibilities:

- Driver management: The dispatcher is in charge of managing a group of drivers and making sure they are properly trained, equipped, and motivated to pickup and deliver shipments securely and on time.
- Customer service: The dispatcher serves as the customer's primary point of contact, responding to inquiries related to freight and resolving any problems that might occur during the shipment delivery process.
- Planning and scheduling of LTL and consolidated shipments: The dispatcher is responsible for developing and maintaining shipping schedules, making note of any route change requests, and ensuring that the driver is given the essential information.
- Monitoring: The dispatcher monitors the delivery status and ensures that the deliveries and pickups are done as per the allocated timeline. They also monitor truck repairs and maintenance.
- Carrier management: The dispatcher is in charge of negotiating rates and services with carriers to make sure that all shipments are delivered on schedule and within the designated budget.
- Compliance with regulations: The dispatcher must ensure that all deliveries abide by all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, including those pertaining to environmental protection and health and safety. They also confirm the Truck Driver’s compliance with the transportation rules and regulations.
- Billing: The dispatcher generates and verifies freight bills and invoices.
- Reporting and analysis: The dispatcher maintains and updates Drivers logs, generates reports to analyze performance, and make recommendations for future deliveries.

**Requirements**:

- Proven 1 - year work experience as a Truck Dispatcher, Transport Administrator, or a similar role in the Logistic department.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems, GPS tracking technology and logistics software.
- Familiarity with transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Ability to deal with stressful situations and work under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of LTL consolidations across Canada and the US.
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual.

**Salary**: From $37,000.00 per year

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Signing bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Concord, ON L4K 5X1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
