Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Controller to join our team here at Tower Fence in Langford. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This is a key leadership role at Tower Fence Products, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information.

**Responsibilities**:

- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements
- Intercompany billing
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills
- Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents
- Prepare tax returns and perform other personal bookkeeping services
- Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.
- Developing systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts
- Maintaining subsidiary accounts by posting, verifying and allocating transactions
- Reconciling entries to balance subsidiary accounts
- Preparing year end for the accountants
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software preferably QuickBooks
- Experience with account reconciliation and analysis
- Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good customer service, with effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
