Under the Quality Assurance Manager the Quality Technician is responsible for supporting the service standards and audits continuous quality improvement and supporting plans to meet quality assurance objectives and key performance indicators. The Quality Technician ensures compliance with services quality policies. The incumbent shall evaluate troubleshoot disassemble assemble repair and/or inspect Endoscopes to assure repair meets quality standards. He/she uses avariety of small hand tools and test equipment to make repairs andfacilitate disassembly and reassembly. The incumbent will complete and maintain accurate service records.
**Job Duties**:
- Perform Quality Inspection using established inspection manuals on Medical and Surgical products.
- Perform advanced diagnostics on the products using small hand tools and soldering for accurate inspection result.
- Maintain and improve productivity level to achieve daily/monthly KPI. Maintain and improve 5S standard.
- Issue DMN for repair failures.
- Ensure to follow SOPs-Wls-WPAs established by OCI management. Participate in training as needed to enhance product knowledge and awareness of QA systems.
- Investigate and determine final disposition involving quality discrepancies relating to finished goods.
- Work closely with production staff concerning quality discrepancies and provide feedback in support of preventive and corrective action activities.
- May recommend changes in work instructions and standards to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Captures 10% of final inspection to sample the quality of repairs using established quality processes and systems procedures for volume and service monitoring including trend analysis and forecasting.
- Perform all other essential duties as directed.
- Follows all company policies procedures SOPs and Wis.
**Job Requirements**:
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
- High School Diploma is required.
- May be required to work overtime and or weekends (not guaranteed).
- Hepatitis B vaccination is recommended for employees who are at risk for exposure to blood or other bodily fluids on the job. Service responsibilities include the handling of products and equipment that may have potentially come into contact with blood or bodily fluids. OCI requires that all employees working in areas that may be exposed to this risk, either provide proof of the Twinrix (Hepatitis A and B) vaccination or sign a waiver accepting the possible risk of exposure from not being vaccinated. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in technical repairs with mechanical or electronic equipment preferred.
- Repair experience in the medical or health care industry preferred.
- Well-organized analytical logical practical.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong personnel management skills with a demonstrated track record of growing personnel.
- Has integrity and accountability.
