Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets that could be helpful for the business.
- Derive actionable insights from data sets.
- Conduct market research to find answers about consumer requirements, habits, and trends.
- Collect data on consumers, competitors and marketplace and consolidate information into actionable items, reports, and presentations.
- Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences.
- Compile and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it.
- Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis.
- Interpret data, formulate reports, and make recommendations.
- Use online market research and catalogue findings to databases.
- Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales, and methods of operation.
- Leverage a strong understanding of consumer trends, technology trends, competitive experiences, and best-in-class experiences to map the consumer journey and identify opportunities to enhance consumer experience.
- Leverage voice of the consumer, insights on all aspects of consumer interactions to identify consumer pain-points, challenges, and hurdles; advise on approaches to eliminate and positively enhance consumer interactions.
- Facilitate transition away from numerous individual interaction touchpoints that focus on only part of the consumer needs towards a complete, end-to-end experience that will enhance consumer experience.
- Create and utilize consumer-centric tools such as journey maps and personas to inform decision-making.
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Support the Sr. Manager, Consumer Insights and Market Research with larger research projects and ad-hoc requests.
- Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.
Job Qualification
- 1-3 years of demonstrated success and experience in relevant field; areas such as market research, journey mapping and project management.
- Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task.
- Excellent knowledge of statistical packages, databases, and business research tools acumen.
- Familiarity with CRM programs.
- Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc.).
- Working knowledge of data warehousing, modelling, and mining.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to solve problems creatively.
- Project Management skills and exceptional organizational skills. Ability to command many details simultaneously.
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
- Ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; work collaboratively with cross-functional teams; and ensure high quality deliverables with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated prioritization ability, solution oriented and resilient with the ability to adapt and work well under pressure.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
This position is a one (1) year contract with possibility of extension and transition into a permanent position depending on business needs.
