**ACCOUNTING MANAGER**

We deliver products and services that meet our borrowers' diverse needs quicker and easier than traditional sources
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Financial closing and reporting
- Managing financial reporting process, including month-end closing, preparation of financial statements and quarterly reports
- Review month-end journal entries, indirect tax filing and financial schedules
- Ensure accurate and timely closing and reporting at month-end
- Manage chart of accounts and mapping to financial statements
- Review cash and trial balance reconciliations and resolve issues as arise
- Investigate and resolve complex issues and communicate to Finance team and other external business partners for intercompany transactions
- Develop process improvement and maintain procedure documents
- Leading financial reporting projects including system conversion
- Work with eternal auditors and provide supports in timely manner
- Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals and providing ongoing training
- Detailed monitoring of inter-company expense allocation with multiple entities
- Attend month-end financial meeting and respond to management’s inquiries
- Identify concerns with policies and procedures for escalation to management
- Be open in communication with management and escalate urgent issues promptly
- Protecting organization’s value by keeping information confidential
- Other reporting duties that management may require
**Employees/Staff development and Training**
- Lead a team of three high performers
- Provide support and guidance to team members
- Be actively involved in the on-site training of new team members and team events
- Positively reinforcing successful performance and provide feedback to management
- Ensure that company policy and procedures are communicated to the team and implemented
**Skills Knowledge & Experience**
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Relevant university degree or college diploma
- Minimum of two years of supervisory or managerial experience
- CPA designation would be an asset
- Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, policies and procedures
- Detail orientated, with excellent organizational and follow up skills
- Ability to produce and manage daily management reporting requirements
- Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously
- Proven to have a positive, effective, and professional relationship with team members and internal departments
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Energetic team player with ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of Great Plains and Net Suite would be an asset
