MARITIME PAPER

**Production Worker/Labourer**

Probation wage**:$15.14** per hour (720 working hours)

Wage**:$20.38**

Maritime Paper Products LP is hiring for the position of _General Help_ in Donovans Industrial Park, Mount Pearl, NL.

This is a full-time position
- You may need to work overtime
- You may need to work weekends and holidays
- Hours of work are Monday - Friday 7:30am-3:30pm

We are looking for someone who is dependable, energetic and has a positive attitude. After you get more experience, you should be willing to work at the machine operator level. You should be comfortable working as part of a team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Help with set up and operate the machine by following the customer’s order
- Stack and pile the orders by following the customer’s requests
- Inspect the orders to make sure they are all done properly
- Keep a safe and clean workplace. Follow health and safety and housekeeping rules. Use PPE (personal protective equipment) properly.
- Follow all the rules of the Company

**Qualifications**:
**Physical**

You need to be able to:

- Walk, stand, lift, push, pull, reach at or above your shoulder level, bend over, crawl, climb and kneel for long periods of time
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly

**Eyesight**

You need to be able to:

- see far away and close up, recognize differences in colours, and have good depth perception (be able to judge how far away or close up things are to you)

**Education**

You must have:

- The ability to learn to work different kinds of equipment
- It is an asset if you have extra training in manufacturing trades

**The Workplace**
- You need to be able to work in a busy place that has many interruptions
- You need to be able to work in a place that can be noisy, dusty, slippery, and very hot or very cold
