**Why this role is significant**
The Housekeeping Manager plays a significant role in the daily operations of the housekeeping and janitorial team, ensuring that guests are welcomed by a clean and comfortable space. You work closely with the Director of Rooms, Guest Services Manager, and Housekeeping Supervisors to ensure smooth daily hotel operations. Your approach involves strategic planning and adept problem-solving to effectively tackle any operational issues that may arise within the department.
**A day in the life**
- Lead daily pre-shift housekeeping meeting and ensure all guest rooms and villas are serviced based on daily reports
- Ensure that the janitorial team performs daily servicing of all common areas within the resort
- Coordinate deep cleaning tasks with Housekeeping Supervisors
- Maintain precise PAR levels by effectively managing guest supplies, operational supplies, and linen inventory
- Foster an environment of teamwork and dedication by empowering your employees
- Monitor the team's skills and identify areas for improvement by coaching, mentoring, and training
- Bi-weekly scheduling, payroll, and continuous labour management and analysis
- Assist with onboarding and training programs for new employees
- Attend weekly Rooms meeting to review operations, staffing, and budgets
- Review financial statements monthly with the Director of Rooms and Guest Services Manager
- Assist with creating and implementing departmental projects and strategic plans
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase revenue across the department
- Fulfill any additional tasks as directed by the Director of Rooms

- 2+ years of experience in housekeeping or similar role
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisor or management capacity, preferably in a hotel environment
- Bonus points if you hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in business or hospitality
