What You Will Do:
- Receive, move, and ship materials within the facility
- Properly store materials
- Assist co-workers as required
- Train personnel on safe crane operation
- Drive company truck where necessary in plant
- Ensure all employees and visitors are wearing required personal protective equipment
- Designated Emergency Coordinator for yard (eg. Key for gate in yard)
- Follow AOT procedures for shipping and receiving
- Work in a safe manner
- Follow 5S+1 Lean Manufacturing guidelines
- Shift work required
Position Details:
- Permanent
- Full-time
- Shift rotates every 3-4 weeks between day and afternoon shift (night shift may be required dependent on business conditions)
- Weekends may be required dependent on business conditions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Fork-lift, crane, rigging, or mobile crane course/ticket considered an asset
- Organized, flexible and able to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable
- Able to read, write and effectively communicate in English
- Ability to work independently
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Pre-employment testing including drug & alcohol, vision, auditory, background check and physical demands assessment required upon hire
- Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours/day
