You will work closely with construction workers and ground operators to complete your daily duties. To succeed in this role, you should have hands-on experience with cranes and building materials. Problem-solving and attention to detail are also must-have skills for you, so that you can adapt to different weather conditions and settings.

**Work Setting**: Parks, Road ways, Recreation sites, Landscape contractor, Sports fields, Private residences.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate cranes and hoists in a safe way according to crane manufacturers manual
- Responsible for assembly, disassembly, lifts and movements of cranes
- Performs pre-operational inspections, safety checks, test lifts and load chart calculations
- Calculating crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting
- Load, unload and safely secure cargo as required
- Inspect equipment and machinery to ensure safety & certification
- Keep and update maintenance and activity log
- Coordinate with ground operators and interpret hand and verbal signals
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols
- Assist in mobilization and demobilization of equipment

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 Years experience operating a crane
- Journeyman Mobile Crane certificate is an asset
- Valid Class 1 or 3 is a requirement
- Commitment to the Health & Safety program and a proactive mindset towards ensuring a safe work environment
- Meticulous accuracy and a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication skills
