We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented AWS FinOps Analyst to join our team. As an AWS FinOps Analyst, you will play a critical role in optimizing our cloud cost management and driving financial efficiencies within our organization. You will be responsible for analyzing Cost and Usage Reports (CUR) and implementing strategies to optimize cloud spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and leverage discount rates effectively.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze AWS Cost and Usage Reports (CUR) to gain insights into cloud spending patterns, trends, and cost drivers.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics related to cloud costs, including budget variances, forecast accuracy, and cost optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and engineering, to gather requirements and identify areas of potential cost reduction.
- Develop and maintain financial models and tools to track and forecast cloud costs.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, such as rightsizing instances, leveraging Reserved Instances (RIs), and implementing Spot Instances.
- Recommend and implement strategies to optimize cost allocation and tagging, ensuring accurate cost attribution across different teams and projects.
- Stay up to date with AWS pricing models, discount programs, and new cost management features and services.
- Work closely with vendors and AWS account representatives to negotiate favorable pricing and discount rates.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting on the effectiveness of cost optimization initiatives and their impact on overall business goals.
- Collaborate with the FinOps team to develop best practices and standardize processes for cloud cost management.

**Qualifications**:

- Solid understanding of AWS services and architecture, particularly related to billing and cost management.
- Experience working with AWS Cost and Usage Reports (CUR) and familiarity with cost and usage analysis tools.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze complex financial data, including cost models, discount rates, and pricing structures.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with cloud cost optimization strategies, such as rightsizing, RIs, and Spot Instances.
- AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect, are a plus.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
