Job purpose
The Community Partnership Lead is a high energy individual who is responsible for strategic marketing, confidential corporate communications, and cultivating donor relations and fund development planning and executing. This role assists CAWES building partnerships, cultivating donor relationships, and ensures annual fundraising goals are met. Key responsibilities include the development and implementation of CAWES marketing plan and the facilitation of events and partnerships to achieve CAWES strategic goals.
Duties and responsibilities
The Community Partnership Lead is responsible for the implementation and coordination of CAWES major events and for coordinating our resources to ensure we meet CAWES goals and objectives for increasing CAWES financial resources. This position will work closely with the Executive Director to ensure the volunteering, events and fund development strategies are met.
- Creates and publishes all corporate information for a wide variety of stakeholders, Governments Federal, Provincial and Municipal.
- Work closely with the Executive Director to manage and plan for all crisis communication needs of the organization
- Develops and oversees implementation of annual events and funding plan in consultation with the Executive Director to achieve fundraising goals;
- Build, grow, and maintain relationships with community, corporations, foundations, and services organizations.
- Serve as the primary contact for all donor and sponsor related projects.
- Meets financial targets and grow revenue through research, grant writing, and new opportunities.
- Designs and executes all major fundraising events and initiatives;
- Contributes to the research and identification of new gift prospects;
- Matches prospective funders to internal priorities and events;
- Designs and executes cultivation and recognition events;
- Ensures stewardship and donor recognition;
- Develops marketing materials for monthly and annual programs, individual and corporate gifts, and planned giving, including relevant case statements, proposals, brochures, newsletters, mailings;
- Liaise with donors, community groups and organizations wanting to assist CAWES in fundraising projects;
- Responsible for coordinating community fundraising events (e.g. Charity Dinner and Auction, Parade of Play Houses, etc.);
- Available for community group cheque presentations;
- Maintain comprehensive donors and event attendees data base
- Maintain membership - including database updates, membership drives, etc.;
- Provides Volunteer/Event Coordination to ensure smooth fundraising events.
- Manages the CAWES website, all social media, and other platforms.
- Develops marketing materials for external distribution including reports, brochures, fundraising and awareness resources;
- Provides marketing support for various CAWES public awareness and fundraising activities and initiatives;
- Supporting the Executive Director to respond in a timely manner to time‐sensitive marketing needs and emerging issues in the community and/or media
- Steward and maintain CAWES brand integrity and visual identities.

**Qualifications**:
Degree or Diploma preferred in Marketing/Communications, Project Management, Journalism, or equivalent. A combination of education and experience will be considered for applicants with a minimum of 5‐10 years combined professional experience and education.
- You have exceptional customer service, communication, and relationship building skills
- You have knowledge of fundraising principles with matched experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You have the ability to prioritise projects and can work well under periods of pressure
- The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects effectively
- Experience with volunteering
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, social media, digital photography, graphic design, and web‐based platforms
- A valid Alberta Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
- Be willing and able to travel throughout Central Alberta
Working conditions
This position works from home or the CAWES office. Hours of work are flexible and require some evening and weekend work. The usual office hours are 8.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday,
