The opportunity

Our Treasury team plays a critical role by building out a sound infrastructure to support and maximize CWB’s balanced growth targets. We are seeking an Analyst, Treasury Cash Management who will provide a high level of support and assistance to key areas in Treasury. As part of the Treasury team, you will manage and monitor the intra-day and forecast cash positions to ensure that CWB’s obligations are met.

The Analyst will be responsible for providing support with cash management, capturing transactional information from several sources for cash forecasting, pricing foreign exchange and managing larger transactions for partner subsidiaries.

Key deliverables

Cash Forecasting and Reporting- Actively track Canadian and USD cash positions throughout the day as information is available.- Make business recommendations with effective presentations of findings during the reconciliation period.- Manually prepare payments for Foreign Exchange, Security Investments, and Capital Market payments.- Effectively communicate and coordinate with branches and corporate teams to confirm reported transactions.- Actively maintain Canadian and USD cash forecasting spreadsheet.

Data and Valuation Analysis & Reporting- Analyse data to support cash flow forecasting and CWB Broker GIC pricing while understanding underlying factors.- Recognize trends in cash items as they are reported from CWB subsidiaries.- Publish and distribute CWB Broker rates on internal and external platforms.- Use internal system to retrieve reporting and track transactional history for trend analysis.- Process capital market and FX activities on internal banking system.

Internal Reporting & Administration- Oversee and analyze data/information collection from disparate sources and perform data integrity checks for reporting purposes.- Retrieve data to assist Management in preparing reporting package for the Asset-Liability Committee.- Provide support in ticketing of Treasury investments and Liquidity Portfolio maintenance.- Administrate monthly and yearly invoice payments using internal expense management system.- Audit and maintain Treasury Cash Management databases.

Core knowledge requirements- Post secondary diploma with a focus in Economics/Mathematics/Finance/Accounting or related field- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a Financial Institution-
- Knowledge in trade of short-term investments such as Repo/RevRepo and TDR is considered an asset.- Treasury systems experience including T24, Bloomberg or Reuters is considered an asset.
