Currently, we are looking to fill the following existing vacancy:

**Strategic Initiatives**
Temporary, full-time (approximately 1-year contract)
Reporting to the Director of Economic Development, Planning and Strategic Initiatives this position is responsible for providing administrative support to all individual teams within department. Duties will include, the collection, administration, and processing of financial information (including accounts payable/receivable payments and P cards), assisting with the development and organization of reports, presentations, events, special occasions, training, seminars, and projects, and the administration and distribution of internal department correspondence and information. You will collect, organize, and add individual staff reports into eSCRIBE and provide support for new projects and initiatives. As the first point of contact, you will provide exceptional customer service to all client groups by greeting department visitors, responding to general inquiries, and supporting requests.
**Qualifications & skills**:
- University degree or college diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field of study.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an Administrative Clerk.
- Exceptional Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must have excellent organizational, customer service and communication skills;
- Excellent time management skills with a strong ability to multi-task and meet established deadlines;
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions;
- Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times;
- Ability to work well individually and as part of a team;
- Ability to foster effective working relationships with senior leadership team, peers, clients, and external contacts;
- A thorough understanding of economic development functions and projects;
- Ability and communicate with the public and media in potentially difficult situations.
