Field Technician

The Field Technician position requires both physical and mental exertion. This position is an opportunity for people who like to problem-solve, have new challenges and work independently. The position entails extensive travel and working alone in remote locations for 3-5 days per week. Travel will be required throughout various weather and road conditions on highways and lease roads throughout Western Canada.
The work week is Monday to Friday unless extenuating circumstances require weekend work. The company has a comprehensive benefits plan and offers 3 weeks of paid vacation per year once accrued.
This is a **_long term_** career opportunity as we have employees that have been with the company for 5+ years and some with 14+ years.

**Education | **High School Diploma; Post Secondary considered an asset
**Language | **Speak English, Read English and Write English
**Transportation |** Technician will be responsible for their company work vehicle, must be willing to travel long durations in various road conditions and be comfortable with lease roads, highway and city driving. Travel expenses are paid by EnviroTRACE.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities | Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, combination of sitting, standing and/or walking. Working in all weather conditions.
**Essential Skills |** Problem Solving, Job task planning and organizing, route planning, computer use, volume calculations, oral communication and working with others as well as comfortable working alone.
**Other |** Mechanical ability is an important requirement. Ability to work long hours (8 to 12 hours per day) and routinely lift/carry heavy materials weighing 50lbs is required.

- Class 5 Driver's License - **Please note**: GDL License is not acceptable
