**Position Overview**:
Terra is seeking a bright and eager Geomatics Mapping Technician - Aerial Orthophotography to be part of the data processing team for a one year contract, focusing primarily on the preparation of orthophotography.

**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Team Lead for Orthophotography, responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- follow processing SOPs;
- follow SOPs for data organization and corresponding file naming conventions;
- checking imagery against control;
- checking for seamline misalignments, gaps, and consistent colour point adjustments;
- producing final orthorectified imagery specific to project specifications;
- perform QC (quality control) of prepared work product, ensuring it meets project specifications;
- submit files to QA department for final proofing prior to delivery to client;
- use TerraView as required for project and task updates,
- provide support to other departments on various projects as requested.

Job Requirements

**Qualifications/Skills**:

- Experience with surveying or/and mapping processes/software. Experience with remote sensing such as LiDAR, GPS, Orthophotography and/or processing are deemed assets including knowledge of PowerView, TerraPhoto or TerraScan.
- In progress diploma or undergraduate degree in a geomatics curriculum is required.
- Proven ability to work to deadlines, follow process attentively and strong attention to detail is a must.
- Experience with prioritization, multi-tasking, and troubleshooting independently while fostering team collaboration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Full time, 40 hours per week
**Wage Rate**: $20.50 to $23.59 per hour. This position is eligible for overtime.
