Accommodation Travel Advisor - Remote- Embark on the next step in your career journey with Direct Travel- As a key member of the Accommodations team, the advisor will be responsible for accurately and expediently making hotel reservations within the parameters and payment methodologies of selecting Direct Travel customers.- This role will work closely with Corporate Travel Advisors and report to the Operations Manager.This is a fully remote position.- Expedition Expectations- Manage hotel reservations by providing thorough and accurate information related to hotel pricing, traveler and client requirements, required amenities
- Manage hotel inventory and rooming lists; make both individual and block reservations
- Advise clients on hotel regulations and cancellation policies; manage/generate payment for reservations
- Effectively manage travel interruptions, issues or changes by acting as the conduit between the traveler/booker and the property
- Offer cost-effective alternatives and solutions
- Remain updated on all aspects relevant to the role through on-the-job training and continuing education
- Provide excellent customer services to internal and external clients
- Passport to Success- Applicants with a Travel agency background is preferred.
- Applicants with a background in hotel inventory (hotel operations, in a hotel groups department or background in coordinating crew travel / crew lodging) would be considered
- A solid background in customer service is preferred
- Proven ability to multitask and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience utilizing reporting tools and Adobe Acrobat considered and asset, but not a requirement
