Description

We're seeking an experienced Directional Drilling Field Specialist to join our team. This hands-on role utilizes cutting-edge technology to deliver premium directional drilling and downhole services to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise wellsite directional drilling operations, ensuring target paths are achieved safely and economically
  • Oversee proper bottom hole assembly (BHA) configuration according to engineering specifications
  • Manage operation, inspection, and maintenance of motors and downhole tools at the rig site
  • Generate comprehensive daily and final well reports documenting all services performed
  • Maintain accurate well profile plots and provide directional survey data to customers
  • Execute Rotary Steerable System (RSS) operations with precision
  • Supervise, mentor, and train directional drilling team members across all experience levels (DD I, DD II, DD III)
  • Collaborate closely with MWD teams to optimize BHA specifications and engineering parameters
  • Support marketing, sales, and promotion of company products and services
  • Maintain detailed equipment records for all wellsite tools
  • Serve as primary communication liaison between wellsite personnel and both internal teams and customer representatives
  • Demonstrate unwavering commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
  • Enforce all safety protocols and maintain equipment in optimal operating condition
  • Participate in mandatory safety meetings and comply with Weatherford's Enterprise Excellence Process

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of directional drilling experience
  • 2+ years of experience as a Driller or Derrick-hand
  • Hands-on experience with Rotary Steerable tools
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Drilling Systems products and services
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate with rig-site personnel at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills
  • Positive attitude with high degree of self-discipline and motivation
