Lens Shapers Inc. is Canada’s premier full-service optical lab. We are a manufacturer and supplier of ophthalmic lenses. Established in 2008, we provide complete service solutions for opticians, optometrists, and ophthalmologists across the nation.

We are currently hiring **Lab Technicians** in Surfacing, Edging/Finishing, Tinting, and Quality Control departments.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Hours: Mon to Fri: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Assist with the production of eyeglasses, lenses, and other optical products.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment, including lens edgers, tinting machines, and frame soldering tools.
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy and quality in the production process.
- Conduct quality control checks to verify the precision of finished products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lab environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

Surfacing:Operating generator, finishing & polishing, Deblocking & washing lenses, Regular maintenance of equipment, Requires to be on your feet all day

Edging & Finishing:Edging & mounting lenses into frames, Lens marking, verification, and blocking, Frame tracing, small repairs, Experience in tinting is a plus, Other related duties as assigned.

Tinting:Fast, accurate, and consistent with tint colour matching, Must be attentive to detail

Quality Control:Job quality inspection including Rx verification, lens optical quality, coating quality, and finishing quality etc., Lens picking

**Qualifications**:

- No previous experience in optics required; we will provide comprehensive training.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Have good basic math skills
- Be able to read, write and speak fluent English
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow in the optical industry.
