**Position Summary**:
The role of the Lead Host is to enthusiastically manage the flow of the restaurant, provide a professional, warm greeting to our guests, present menu and beverage knowledge, Eldorado Resort, and Kelowna points of interest.

**What will you be doing?**
- You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard:_
- Well-rounded knowledge of menus, upcoming events, resort and Kelowna information
- Answer the phone in a prompt, professional manner
- Seat tables in a timely manner
- Treat all guests as _VIP’s_, with consistent and quality service
- Organize and communicate special details, requests from reservations
- Accurately input and monitor Open Table reservations
- Manage the flow of customers
- Track seating rotations - dividing evenly between the Servers
- Maintain a stocked, clean and presentable host station
- Communicate openly with guests, servers and kitchen
- Provide guests with suggestions and recommendations, as needed
- Take orders for room service or for take-out
- Room service deliveries and pick-ups ensuring quality checks
- Participate in all side-duties as assigned by your manager
- Assist team members whenever possible
- Actively involved with training new staff and mentoring their success
- Responsible for all menu maintenance and appearance
- Comply with company safety/security policies and procedures
- Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
- Attend all mandatory staff meetings
- Participate in all voluntary educational seminars and field trips
- Champion and adhere to company standards and policies including attendance, uniform and appearance policies; act as role model and provide reinforcement
- Lead by example, showing motivation, initiative, hands on approach and following to all policies/procedures

- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Competent on the computer system
- Experience with Open Table
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Have full knowledge of food menu’s and wine lists
- Very organized with the ability to multi-task in a pressured environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Engaging all guests with a professional and courteous fashion
