Full-time Optometric Assistant

**Who we are**:
Our busy Optometry offices are looking for an individual to fill our full-time position. We are looking for a flexible team-player who loves to learn. We are an energetic office full of friendly staff who are looking to add to our team dynamic. The available position is **Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday** with the possibility of some early evening shifts ending at 6:30PM**. **Experience is an asset, but not necessary. Starting wage will vary depending on previous experience.
- Experience with iFile software an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive and friendly attitude
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Have excellent computer skills and be familiar with programs such as Word, Excel, etc.
- Communicate effectively with team, patients, and doctors
- Understand how to prioritize tasks accordingly
- Experience with booking patients, processing payments, and pretesting is an asset
- Performing tests on patients
- Checking patients in and out
- Recalling patients
- Billing to private insurance plans
- Opening and closing the office
- Benefits are provided after a 3-month probationary period
(40 hours)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
